Sunday resources for our kids and young people

Hi everyone!  We hope you are all keeping well in these days.  We miss you very much and it’s tough not being together, but we’re still able to enjoy learning about Jesus and can find new ways to share our lives with one another.  Below are some links to resources that are connected with our Sunday 'virtual' worship services.  Feel free to download these, and encourage your children and young peple to make use of them in the days that lie ahead.  If we can help support you in any way, answering any questions you might have, please get in touch with us.  Every blessing.

Easter Times of Prayer - Creative resources

Christians are being called to pray for our nation on Palm Sunday between 3pm and 4pm.  It's good at these times to involve our children and young people.  Here are some creative ideas to help our children pray over Easter for those around us.  Feel free to have a go with some or all of the activities, and do send through any pictures of what you've been doing together as you pray for one another and the wider world.  Enjoy!

Sunday 5th April 2020:  Palm Sunday (Zechariah 9:9-10 & John 12:12-16)

Today we're thinking about the unusual arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem a few days before He died on the cross and rose from the dead - we call it Palm Sunday, because Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, and the crowds of people welcomed him by waving palm branches.  Christine Wilson from the Lisnabreen Church Family is going to share with us more about the significance of Palm Sunday and also encourage us to get involved in a simple, yet really creative craft at home.  Check out the story of Palm Sunday on the YouTube link below.  We've also included a summary of the craft that Christine will show us.

Sunday 29th March 2020:  A new way to see - the story of Paul (Acts 9)

In today's story, we meet a man called Saul, who did not believe in Jesus, but did believe in rules.  He loved following rules.  One day however, he met Jesus face to face and his life was totally transformed.  Read the story in the Jesus Storybook Book Bible, pages 334-340 or directly from Acts 9.

For all our young people, as you listen to the worship service online, ask yourself two questions:  1.  What is God teaching me in all that I've experienced during the worship service this morning?  2.  What am I going to do about it?  Talk these things over with your family.  If you have any questions or need to chat about anything you've heard in the worship service, then please get in touch with us - you can speak with any one of the Youth Leaders in St Andrew's, a Christian friend, any one of the Elders, or Mark Johnston (07736 769 744).
