Thursday 1st October 202010:00Pause and Pray (Old Main Hall at St Andrew's)
Mark Johnston, Minister of St Andrew's, will be in the Old Main Hall (directly behind the St Andrew's church building) from 10am to 11am, to pray. You're very welcome to come along and join Mark to pray together. We'll be abiding by social distancing guidelines, and providing a space to pray for one another, for the church family and the wider community. Sunday 4th October 202011:00SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERING (IN PERSON & LIVE ONLINE)
Here's how you can connect with our weekly worship gatherings. * IN PERSON - due to the redevelopment of the Church Sanctuary, we're now meeting in person in the Church Hall, and abiding by all COVID-guidelines. If you'd like to 'Save a Seat' for each Sunday service, you can do this online in the Events Section of the St Andrew's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StAndrewsBangor) or call 07979 820 990 and leave a message on the answering machine (give your name, contact number, and the names of the people in your group who would like to attend). You can save a seat any time from 9am on Monday to 9pm on Thursday on the build up to the next Sunday. * ONLINE VIA FACEBOOK: Visit our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/StAndrewsBangor - then scroll down the page a little until you find the Live Streaming Video link. It will be available from 10:50am every Sunday morning in readiness for an 11am kick off to the worship gathering. * LISTENING BY TELEPHONE: If you know of folks who aren't connected to the internet, we've set up a dial-in facility for each Sunday service, where people can listen on their phone. Simply dial: 0131 460 1196 (it's a normal land line number) and when prompted, use your phone keypad to add the following 'Meeting ID' number: 597 324 1577 followed by the hastag symbol (#). This phone line will be open from 10:50am every Sunday morning. * THROUGHOUT THE WEEK: After the Worship Gathering every Sunday at 11am, we'll upload the recording of the service to the St Andrew's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StAndrewsBangor) and also to the St Andrew's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/StAndrewsPresbyterianChurch), so that you can listen to it again or share it with others. We'll not be able to include the songs themselves, but we will include links to the relevant music videos online, so that you can listen to the music that we've referenced in the services themselves. * SHARE WITH OTHERS: Please share this info with others, particularly those not on Social Media. Monday 5th October 202011:00Food Collection for Storehouse at St Andrew's Car Park
FOOD COLLECTION POINT FOR STOREHOUSE, 11am-12noon AT ST ANDREW'S CAR PARK... We're providing an opportunity for folks across the church family and wider community to drop off any food donations for the Storehouse Food Ministry, today, 11am-12noon, at the car park of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 111 Clandeboye Road (just opposite Bangor Football Club). We'll then deliver these food donations to the Storehouse centre, where they will be distributed to families across the community who are in need. Thanks for your help and support for this food ministry at this time. * All food donations will be gratefully received. The following food items are always much appreciated: - Tins of meat e.g. ham, corned beef etc - Tins of meals e.g. minced steak, chunky chicken etc - Rice - Tins of rice meals e.g. curry, chilli con carne, etc - Rice sauces - Tins of custard and rice - Tinned tomatoes - Fruit juices - Diluting juices - Cooking Oil - Toiletries - Toilet rolls - Kitchen rolls - Kitchen sprays.
Tuesday 6th October 202010:30Knit n Natter
St.Andrews Knit 'n' Natter Group will meet on Tuesday 6th October in the Main Old Hall (at the back of the Church building) between 10.30am and 12.00 noon. In order to ensure everyone can be as safe as possible, the following Government/PCI Regulations will be in place:- * Face masks/coverings to be worn; * Seating will be 2 metres apart; * Hand sanitiser will be in place; * Seating will be sanitised; * Contact details to be registered; * Kitchen will sadly be out of bounds and no refreshments will be available. Despite the regulations being in force, our main aim of Knitting/Crocheting and Nattering will definitely be in place. Our Group members will be there, however, if you have not been to our Knit 'n' Natter Group before and would like to join with us, please come along and you will be sure of a warm welcome and plenty of NATTER. Please note, the carpark will not be in use due to ongoing Redevelopment work on the Main Church Building. Please park nearby. The church gate will look closed, but simply push open the left hand gate, and you'll be able to get access.
